This is your August newsletter update from Catching Lives. This month we want to highlight that we are urgently seeking extra volunteers to help in our kitchen. Our kitchen is run entirely by an amazing team of volunteers and provides breakfast and lunch to people experiencing homelessness seven days a week, 365 days a year.
People who volunteer for us do so for all different reasons – from meeting new people and a sense of purpose, to work experience and giving something back. Everyone is welcome here. Volunteers are at the heart of Catching Lives and help keep our vital services running.
If you’re able to spare a few hours a week and are interested in this varied and rewarding role, please get in touch.
To find out more, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Catching Lives has been awarded a grant to explore ways to improve its day centre in Station Road East.
The money is part of £100,000 capacity development funding from the Albert Hunt Trust and managed by Homeless Link being split between seven homeless charities.
We are collecting items this Harvest Festival. There is a list of items on our website and we will continue to update you across our website and socials.
Please bring donations in a Bag For Life to our centre in Station Road East any day between 9am and 4pm or contact email@example.com.
Well done Matt and Alex
Thank you Matt Gillett and Alex Knights for raising money for Catching Lives. Matt did a sponsored walk and Alex ran the Canterbury Half Marathon. We appreciate you! If you’d like to raise money for us, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
A big thank you to all our supporters and volunteers who give their time, money and donations. Thank you to everyone who has come in to run activities for our clients. We post updates throughout the week on Facebook and Instagram.
